Getting started

Install Omni

Omni is a free theme from the HubSpot Template Marketplace. Installing it adds the theme's templates, modules and sections to your account. It does not change any existing pages.

On this page

Before you start

  • You need a HubSpot account with Content Hub (any edition) and permission to use the Design Manager.
  • Site search, HubSpot CTAs and HubSpot video need a paid Content Hub edition. Omni works without them.

Steps

  1. Open the Omni listing in the HubSpot Template Marketplace and click Get theme.
  2. Choose the HubSpot account you want to install Omni in and confirm.
  3. When the installation finishes, open Content → Website pages (or Landing pages).
  4. Click Create, choose Omni as the theme and pick a template, for example Home.

Your logo

The header uses the logo from Settings → Branding. If your account has a logo there, it appears straight away. If not, a Logoipsum placeholder keeps the first pages complete until you add one.

The footer shows a light Logoipsum image, because the footer is dark. Replace it like this:

  1. Open a page that uses an Omni template in the editor.
  2. Click the footer and choose Edit global content.
  3. Select the Site footer module, choose your image under Brand → Logo and publish the global content.

Your menu

A new install shows the logo and two buttons in the header. To add your navigation:

  1. Create a navigation menu under Settings → Content → Navigation menus. Child pages become dropdowns.
  2. Open a page that uses an Omni template, click the header and choose Edit global content.
  3. Select the Site header module, pick the menu under Navigation → Menu, update the buttons and publish.

The link columns in the footer start with sample links shown as plain text. Add a link to each one, or let a column show a navigation menu. The Site header and Site footer articles list every setting.

The logos in the Image and logo scroller are sample customer logos. Replace them under Content → Items in that module.

Good to know

  • Omni's theme settings (colors, fonts, buttons) are shared by every page that uses an Omni template. Open them from any page editor under Theme → Theme settings.
  • The theme's primary color follows the primary color in Settings → Branding until you change it in the theme settings.
  • Install updates from the Marketplace listing. Your pages and content are kept.
